ACTING FUNDAMENTALS
Learn what it takes to be on the big screen. This course on acting fundamentals introduces you to the basics of acting. It offers a solid foundation on which to build a successful acting career. Kickstart your acting journey with 4 weeks of intensive training.
We have a team of industry veterans who are experienced in the path you wish to take. You will be taught the basic skills you need as an actor which include; different acting techniques, movement, text analysis and voice.
This course involves practical acting skills development. You will study the dynamics of space and nature, the human body and your surroundings to help you tell an interesting story.

INTRODUCTION TO ACTING
Get introduced to the world of acting and discover your own unique and natural acting instincts. This session focuses on a hands-on, practical introduction to acting's fundamental concepts and practices.

ELEMENTS OF DRAMA AND THEATRE
This session introduces students to plays for theatre, radio and television. We will discuss elements of drama and theatre, theme, language and characters, conflict complication and climax. We would also look into the different genres of drama – tragedy, farce, comedy etc.

THE ACTING PROCESS
Get acquainted with the acting process in theatre. Learn how to analyze a role and use the script to help determine all the information about a character. Define the goals of each character and determine their objective and what role they play in a script. Also, you will learn character relationships, how they interact and what relationship they have with each other. As an actor you need to understand how your character and other characters relate to the theme of the play.
ACTING AND SPEECH TRAINING
Learn all you need to know about the different acting theories (Stanislavski, Meyer hold, African acting styles etc). This session also focuses on the history of acting, the principles and methods involved in improvisation as well as a look into the actor and his environment. Also in this session, we would be studying Speech in acting. We will look into the organs of speech/ speech production, delivery techniques and projection in speech. This session is robust and centers on the actor and finding his unique voice.

INTRODUCTION SPEECH AS AN ACT
This session covers a general introduction to speech in acting. Speech is a fundamental act in theatre and plays a crucial role in conveying the meaning and message of the production to the audience. It is through the spoken word that characters communicate their thoughts, emotions, desires, and intentions to each other and to the audience. We would teach you all about the different forms of speech in theatre which includes;dialogue, monologue, soliloquy, aside, and chorus. You will learn how each form serves a different purpose and how it is used to convey different aspects of play.

SPEECH MECHANISM
The speech mechanism in theatre refers to the process by which actors produce sounds and words to communicate their roles to the audience. It involves the coordination of various parts of the body, including the lungs, larynx, mouth,and tongue, to produce speech that is clear, expressive, and audible. This session is designed to teach you all about breath control in theatre. You will learn how to sustain long phrases, project your voice, and create dynamic vocal expression through a breathing technique known as diaphragmatic breathing, which allows for the efficient use of air. You would also learn to articulate words clearly and precisely, using the proper placement and movement of the lips, teeth, and tongue.

ORGANS OF SPEECH/SPEECH PRODUCTION
This session looks into the various organs of speech/speech production in movie production. Learn all about the primary organs of speech including the lungs, larynx, pharynx, oral cavity, and articulators such as the lips, tongue, and teeth. These organs work together in a coordinated manner to produce sounds that form words and sentences. This session would touch on their uses and functions and how they are used in speech production. In theater, you must learn as an actor to control and coordinate these organs of speech to produce clear, expressive, and audible speech that conveys the meaning and message of the production to the audience.
Script Analysis & Character Development
Script analysis is an essential skill for any actor. In this module, you will learn how to dissect scripts, uncover character motivations, and breathe life into your roles. Through close examination of text and character study, you will gain insights into the nuances of storytelling and character dynamics. You will learn how to create fully realized characters with depth, authenticity, and emotional truth. By the end of this module, you will have the tools to approach any script with confidence and creativity.

Voice & Diction:
Your voice is your most powerful tool as an actor. In this module, you will focus on vocal techniques, projection, articulation, and dialects. Through a series of vocal exercises and drills, you will strengthen your voice and develop greater clarity, resonance, and expressiveness. Whether you're performing on stage or in front of the camera, a strong and dynamic voice is essential for commanding attention and communicating effectively with your audience.

Body Language & Movement

Presentation & Public Speaking
